Ofcom today published proposals to simplify the rules around the distribution of television advertising. These include rules about the intervals between advertising breaks, and restrictions on breaks in certain programmes.
The proposals, which cover all commercial broadcasters, would allow broadcasters to schedule advertising breaks at more appropriate times during programmes.
