Ofcom update: Proposed Format changes to 100.4 Smooth Radio (North West England)

Ofcom today published a consultation on proposed Format changes to 100.4 Smooth Radio (North West England). The station owners, GMG Radio, are seeking to change the station to become “an easy listening station featuring easy listening music including jazz, soul, blues and R&B targeting an audience aged 50 plus.”

 

Ofcom believes this change would significantly alter the station’s Format and is seeking stakeholders’ views on the proposals. The closing date for responses is 23 August 2007.
