Ofcom Update: Public interest investigation into BSkyB's shareholding in ITV Plc

On 27 April, Ofcom completed its investigation into whether BSkyB's acquisition of a 17.9% shareholding in ITV plc raises public interest concerns about the number of different owners of media enterprises.

 

This investigation helped inform the Secretary of State’s decision to refer the acquisition to the Competition Commission, announced today.
