Ofcom Update: Channel 4 financial review

Following its first review of public service broadcasting (PSB) in 2004-05, Ofcom proposed an independent financial review of Channel 4. This was in response to analysis by Channel 4 suggesting that by 2009 it would face a financial shortfall that would limit its ability to deliver its public service remit.

Ofcom subsequently commissioned LEK to carry out this independent review. Ofcom is today publishing LEK’s report, along with Channel 4’s submission on its public service contribution and Ofcom's own analysis of Channel 4's remit delivery.
